Projects in focus

Three ISSP researchers participated at MED Final Joint Capitalization seminar in Brussels, on 24. and 25. of March 2015. This event brought together institutions from across the MED region that have been implementing projects under MED Programme in the previous period.
The seminar was carried out in the final phase of the MED Programme 2007-2013, bringing together outputs and results developed by previous projects with the purpose of delivering recommendations and new tools for the forthcoming programming period.



The first meeting of the policy working group on Vocational Education and Training (VET) took place at the headquarters of the European Training Foundation (ETF) in Turin, Italy on the 16th & 17th June. Milika Mirkovic has presented results from the baseline survey across the seven schools in Montenegro.

6th SCM

ISSP was the organizer of 6th Steering Committee meeting held from 03.-05. December in Podgorica. The participants of the meeting were the representatives of 12 Institutions for Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Portugal, Spain and Slovenia.

The aim of the meeting was to summarize the current implementation and progress of the project, as well as an overview of implemented activities. Also, they agreed on the next steps and identified the remaining obligations in the project and their dynamics, until the end of the project in May 2015 years. Two representatives of ISSP have participated in consultative meeting on preparing Systematic diagnostic assessment for Montenegro, organized by the World Bank Group. Systematic diagnostic assessment is a document that comprehensively identifies the challenges and constraints to accelerate progress in the reduction of poverty and enhancement of general prosperity in Montenegro. This document will represent a basis for new strategic framework for partnership between the World Bank and Montenegro.


ISSP Program Director, Jadranka Kaludjerovic has taken part in the second international multidisciplinary conference organized by Montenegrin Academy of Arts and Sciences: Main trends in young scientists research in modern science: Change of paradigm from atom to bit. Ms. Kaludjerovic presented her research on business cycles and economic crisis.

Association of Economists and Managers of Montenegro is organizing the nineteenth Milocer Regional Development Forum in the period  15.-18. September 2014 in Hotel “Maestral” in Przno. The theme of this year’s forum will be: Creativity, Innovation, Design.

Representatives of ISSP Jadranka Kaludjerovic and Milika Mirkovic presented paper “Factors behind decision of VET studies regarding their career: why do most Montenegrin VET students go to university?” on conference Vocational Education and Training and Inclusive Education which was held in Skopje May 30, 2014. The conference was organized by University American College Skopje and LSEE, London School of Economics and Political Science.


Within the project Superfounders, ISSP has established a hub for support and development of innovative ideas of Montenegrin start-ups. On Friday, 13.06.2014 start-ups were invited to present their ideas in front of a three member jury and recieved feedback on further development of their ideas.
