The conference “Shared prosperity, Welfare and Jobs in the Western Balkans” was held in Hotel Splendid, Becici, Montenegro in the period 10-13 June 2013. It represented a forum for researchers, policy makers, statistical agencies, and donors to discuss changes in living conditions in the Western Balkans, which is entering a double-dip recession.
The main objectives of the conference are:
- To provide opportunities for researchers dealing with the region to meet, network, exchange and discuss their research projects and results
- To discuss potential areas that may be addressed to more effectively influence policy development with the aid of scientific research results.
- To discuss the challenges of data access within the Balkans
