Ivan Piper is working as a researcher at Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognoses, where he was involved in conducting various quantiative and qualitative research projects, including data collection, data analysis (surveys, macroeconomic analysis, seminars, trainings, conferences etc.) and evaluation of public policies and strategies.
He is also a teaching assistant at University of Donja Gorica, and a PhD student at Faculty of International Economics, Finance and Business (UDG) as a scholarship holder of Ministry of Science of Montenegro. Piper’s research, teaching activities and publications are primarily focused on International Economics, Institutional Economics and Cultural Economics, while his PhD thesis is focused on Cultural and philosophical roots of China’s economic development.
Additionally, he is a co-founder of several Montenegrin and international non-governmental organizations that deal with the promotion and encouragement of entrepreneurship, and he is the former leader of the Montenegrin branch of the international organization "Students for Liberty".
