The main aim of this project was to analyse the current cooperation between Western Balkans region and China through desk research and in-depth interviews with leading companies from Western Balkans which cooperate with Chinese companies, in order to gain perspective on current cooperation and its potential improvement. Through desk research and in-depth interviews with companies from Montenegro and North Macedonia potential issues (such as trade barriers and administrative barriers) has been identified, as well as possible ways in which the economic cooperation could be improved for the benefit of both Western Balkan region and China.
