New analysis has been conducted - Research among the NEET population in five municipalities in Montenegro: Bijelo Polje, Gusinje, Mojkovac, Plav and Rozaje. The reseach is part of the activities within the first phase of the project Young NEETs: new opportunities for work and increased employability – “UNEETED”. 

The overall objective of the project is to improve the social position of the young people who are not in Education, Employment or Training (NEETs) in the selected municipalities in Montenegro and Kosovo through enhancing their employability and connecting them with potential employers. This is in line with broader social goal which aims at increasing visibility of the problems and needs of the young NEET population, as identified vulnerable group.

Key points of this research include the general structure of NEET respondents, their housing, education, parental employment, educational profile, attitudes towards additional courses, plans to continue formal education and reasons for unemployment. Previous work experience, attitudes towards seasonal employment, job search activities, satisfaction with the Public Employment Service, assessment of employment opportunities on the local labor market, and thoughts on starting thier own business are also investigated.
