The Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognoses (ISSP) has successfully completed the school round of the 2026 Economics Olympiad in Montenegro, marking another important milestone in promoting economic education and financial literacy among high school students.
This year’s competition attracted more than 1,600 students from high schools across Montenegro, demonstrating growing interest among young people in economics, finance, and understanding contemporary economic challenges.
During the school round, participants completed a standardized test covering key topics in microeconomics, macroeconomics, finance, and economic reasoning. The results determined the students who qualified for the national finals, where the country’s top-performing competitors would continue the competition.
The strong participation of schools and students reflects the increasing recognition of the Economics Olympiad as an opportunity for young people to develop analytical thinking, strengthen their financial literacy, and gain practical knowledge that will benefit them in their future academic and professional careers.
ISSP extends its sincere gratitude to all participating students, teachers, mentors, and schools for their commitment and enthusiasm throughout the competition.
The Economics Olympiad in Montenegro is organized by the Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognoses (ISSP) as part of the international Economics Olympiad initiative. Through this programme, ISSP aims to encourage excellence in economic education, foster critical thinking, and connect Montenegrin students with an international network of talented young economists.
