ISSP director, Jadranka Kaludjerovic, was invited to attend “WOW – Unveiling the Colours of the Economy”, a high-profile training event organized by ITCILO and the European Training Foundation’s (ETF) Skills Lab Network of Experts. Held from October 9-11, 2024, in Turin, the event focused on exploring the diverse "colours" or sectors of the economy, including the Blue Economy (marine and freshwater), Gold Economy (digitalization), Green Economy (sustainability), and others.
This unique colour-coded framework provided participants with a comprehensive view of the economic landscape and how various sectors—ranging from the health sector (White Economy) to creative industries (Orange Economy)—interact and evolve. By delving into the current trends and future challenges within these economies, the event fostered a collaborative dialogue on how to shape resilient, inclusive, and sustainable growth strategies.
Kaludjerovic’s participation in this training underscores ISSP’s dedication to capacity building and enhancing its research and policy work in key economic areas. The event, which brought together policymakers, experts, and researchers from around the world, also focused on the evolving nature of work, highlighting the need for skills development, upskilling, and innovative policy approaches. These insights are crucial as Montenegro and other regions navigate the economic and social transitions shaped by global trends like digitalization and sustainability.
