The overall objective of the assignment is to provide a factual current state of play in Vocational Education and Training (VET) in each of Western Balkans Six economies, including a specific and realistic way ahead towards creating a common, regional VET framework, coherent with European Union (EU) standards. The objective of the study is to i) outline and compare the VET system of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Republic of North Macedonia and Serbia; ii) create a factsheet and analysis of intra-WB6 bilateral agreements on VET; iii) outline and compare the potential recognition of VET procedures and practices of each of the Western Balkan economies, including the overview on how this is implemented in practice; iv) identify issues related to VET for cross-border movement of people for employment and that for temporary supply of services (posted workers); v) provide an overview of legislative changes and financial implications to achieving a Western Balkans common framework, coherent with the EU standards; vi) give recommendations on regional (Western Balkans) common actions. ISSP was a lead institution which coordinated the overall project.
